The long-awaited release of Cyberpunk 2077 garnered praise and disdain in the last week. The game’s plagued with immense technical issues and harsh consumer backlash.

Sony pulled the game from the Playstation Store and is offering full refunds to all users who purchased the title. The game didn’t fare well as console users saw numerous glitches, making the game practically unplayable.

The game from CD Project Red launched on December 10, seeing raving reviews from PC users. The PC version still has glitches, but not as many as the console versions.

On Thursday evening, the game site changed to a statement, saying:

“SIE strives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, therefore we will begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store.

SIE will also be removing Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store until further notice. Once we have confirmed that you purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store, we will begin processing your refund..”

The game remains on the Microsoft Store, despite the numerous issues and glitches. This isn’t the first time Microsoft let a launch title work itself through glitches and internal issues.

The platform famously let 343 Industries work out the bugs for the Masterchief Collection, averting disaster, and allowed the studio to save the game.
