DC Announces ‘Green Lantern Corps.’ and a Surprise Title for ‘The Flash’

Flashpoint, Warner Bros.

During their panel today, DC Films announced a few surprises on their slate. Although there were the expected films, The Batman, Suicide Squad 2, Justice League Dark, and Batgirl, a few surprises showed up as well. DC first announced that the new Flash movie will be called Flashpoint, and also Wonder Woman 2 and Green Lantern Corps.

They also showed a short clip from Aquaman, that will not be releasing online anywhere. The footage opens up with a fisherman in the middle of the ocean getting a bite that begins to drag his boat until the man lets his pole go. That is when you see a fleet of the Ocean Master’s stingray ships in the water, with Atlanteans riding sharks. Another quick shot shows Aquaman in a ship holding a red sword.

All of this took place before they hit us with an amazing second trailer for Justice League. You can check out the great trailer here.

Justice League hits theaters on November 17. There are some great films in the near future coming for DC, which is something that you wouldn’t have head me say 3 months ago. It appears that after Wonder Woman, DC is changing their groove. They are starting to write good stories for their films that will only make the universe better and their films better

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s (Henry Cavill) selfless act, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly awakened enemy. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes — Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash — it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
