Madame Xanadu
Nimue Inwudu, also known as Madame Xanadu, is a sorceress who originally brings the Justice League Dark together. Although, she loses her power and is only able to advise others and help contain spirits in jars.
It makes sense to bring her into the series as the one who brings them together. She can even be the team’s leader for a while.
Madame Xanadu’s is ageless and because of this, I’m going to look at different age ranges.
Rumors persist Monica Belluci is high on Warner Brother’s list to play the role and has been since the first planned movie. It’s not difficult to see why. She looks like Madame Xanadu and is a talented actress to boot. Fans of The Matrix trilogy will know her as Persephone.
She also holds the title of the oldest Bond Girl in Spectre. As a person who doesn’t bow to convention, taking a part in a show about magicians, demons, and the undead teaming up doesn’t seem far fetched.
The next choice recently played the villain in Doctor Sleep. Although, she’s more known as Jenny Lind in The Greatest Showman. Rebecca Ferguson isn’t a stranger to mystics and the likes.
In Doctor Sleep she was the leader of a cult who fed on those who have the Shining. She’s a great actress, who always commands the screen.
Madame Xanadu needs to be commanding so it works in Rebecca’s favor. If the character becomes the team’s leader, then it’s even more of a win for her. After all, it isn’t the first time she plays a gypsy in charge of a group of misfits.
Rebecca Ferguson’s character in Mission Impossible shows she’s got nothing against playing a role more than once. It also means she’s familiar with action sequences. Considering it’s a Comic Book show, there’s a high chance it won’t lack the need for action.
