Killer Klowns from Outer Space
I mean, what do you expect from a title like that? Killer Klowns from Outer Space is as outrageous as the title suggests. It’s about aliens who look like clowns and kill people. Their victims are housed in a cocoon that looks like candy floss. If that doesn’t sound crazy enough, they also use balloon animals and popcorn as weapons. The movie will also make you look at shadow puppets in a different way too.
It stars Grant Cramer, Suzanne Snyder, John Allen Nelson, John Vernon, Michael S. Siegel and Peter Licassi. Charles Chiodo plays Jojo the Klownzilla.
The story revolves around Mike Tobacco and Debbie Stone. They’re enjoying themselves at lovers’ lane when a UFO crashes to Earth. After they check it out, they realise it’s aliens. The duo go to the police for help but they refuse to listen. It doesn’t help one of the cops is Debbie’s ex-boyfriend. From here, the alien invasion spreads and they need to team up with several others to stop the Klowns.
Killer Klowns from Outer Space runs for 88 minutes. It’s not overly scary but it has its moments. If you’re looking for a movie to watch as a couple, this is the one. It was directed by Stephen Chiodo and released in 1988. Even if you find clowns scary, Killer Klowns from Outer Space won’t inflame your coulrophobia. This is down to the fun prosthetics and overly campy nature.
