New Information on James Gunn’s ‘Suicide Squad’ Arrives

With Will Smith leaving the Suicide Squad movie fans began to wonder what it would mean for the other cast members.

According to a report from Collider there may only be one returning face to the sequel in the shape of Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn.

Given her popularity after Suicide Squad, and Warner Brothers shaping Birds of Prey around her, it isn’t surprising to see the return of the Clown Princess of Crime.

Since Harley Quinn and Deadshot are said to be the only returning members of the squad it leaves the door open for other characters from DC comics.

However don’t expect to see much of Harley as the rumors suggest she will only have limited screen time this time around.

James Gunn knows the exact characters he wants to use in the sequel and they are certainly interesting choices.

Joining Harley and Deadshot in Task Force X appear to be Ratcatcher, King Shark, Polka-Dot Man, and Peacemaker.

To fans of the Comic Books the characters will be familiar but to those who only watch the movies and TV shows then King Shark will be familiar.

King Shark is used in The CW’s The Flash, with his most recent appearance being the latest episode where he fought Gorilla Grodd.

Ratcatcher is a Batman villain with the ability to control rats who uses poisonous gasses to kill his victims. However it won’t be the exact version fans know as it appears it will be a gender-swapped version.

Polka-Dot Man is another Batman villain, who is known for wearing polka-dots and can turn them into weapons.

Peacemaker is different from the others as he isn’t a villain, but rather a Super Hero. Although, his brutal methods of killing all criminals may be what makes him end up at Belle Reve.

The chosen characters do fit in with the outlandish style James Gunn is known for with his Guardians of the Galaxy movies. It will be intriguing to see how the movie shapes up.
