Star Wars is enjoying a resurgence after Disney bought LucasFilm in 2012. While the sequel trilogy is controversial, The Mandalorian brings fans old and new together. However, it’s only just one out of many stories in the galaxy far far away.

At the recent Disney Investor Meeting, LucasFilm President Kathleen Kennedy announced new Star Wars series and movies. The multiple series are primarily premiering on Disney+ while the movies are coming to the big screen.
Two of these series are being helmed by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. It’s confirmed they will be connecting to The Mandalorian and creating an overarching story that will culminate in something big.
