If You Spoil ‘Avengers: Endgame’ For Anyone You’re Wrong

Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios

Avengers: Endgame is in theaters, and it didn’t take long before the spoilers and leaks began to pour onto the internet. Marvel went though great lengths to keep details about the film secret, so why would anybody try to ruin someone elses experience?

Look, I need to rant for a second. I know that some of us can read spoilers, watch leaks, and still enjoy a film. After all, it’s my job to do that very thing. I am also very aware that the majority of people in the world eagerly want to know everything about this film.

If a studio is going above-and-beyond to keep the details of a film secret, there is a really good reason for it. Marvel has enough money, they aren’t just protecting their property. It is more than that. Avengers: Endgame is not just another release. It is a cultural movement, and something that will more-than-likely never happen again.

It was a unique experience going in to watch a film I knew little about. Every moment was epic, and I felt like a kid again. Since the first screens showed the film, some are starting to leak footage, moments, plot points, and many other things about the film.

I’m not talking about articles written by reputable site who warm readers about the content in the articles. I am talking about those who put spoilers on blast in titles and leak footage of big film moments. Why? Why would you seek to ruin someone else’s experience?

As soon as I left the theater, I said the only Avengers: Endgame articles I would publish before Monday are spoiler-free. I want the majority of those rushing to theaters to experience the film as I had.

Popcorn Sushi will have spoiler articles hit this week, but we wanted to give everyone ample chance to see the film first. I hope that every one of you enjoyed Avengers: Endgame as much as I did. It isn’t a perfect film, but it is a beautiful love letter to fans from a studio that appreciates everyone’s support.

This isn’t the end for Marvel, but it is the end of a beautiful 11-year journey. It’s a trek through 22 films with intertwining plots. I laughed, cried, and celebrated along with everyone as the credits rolled. I would hope none of you will ruin Avengers: Endgame for anyone. We all deserve that much.
