Last week Tom Holland, the star of the upcoming Marvel/Sony collaboration film Spider-Man: Homecoming, visited the Atlanta Children’s Hospital. During a short break in filming, Holland went to the hospital decked out as Spider-Man. The Ryan Seacrest Foundation released a video of the Holland’s visit. Holland took a minute to talk about Homecoming:

“Spider-Man has always been a huge part of my life. I love the movies. I love the comics. And I always just wanted to be Spider-man. I could have never imagined this would become a reality. I love what I do so much. When I’m on set, I don’t really think about what an audience is going to think about a scene. I’m just thinking about how I can make it best. And how I can enjoy myself most. This is such a great process. Being on a film set, you are always around such fantastic people. And I feel like I’ve been lucky. I feel like I’ve worked with the best of the best.”

According to Tom Holland, there were around 20 Spidey suits created for the film!

“I break them quite a lot because I have to do a lot of stunts – flips and stuff – so they rip…We have like twenty suits, I think, that we alternate, and this is actually what we would call a beauty suit, which means it is like picture ready, and then we have a stunt suit, which isn’t as nice as this one.”

Holland goes on to say that the night shoots for the film are welcomed due to the hot summers in Atlanta:

“Best thing about shooting in Atlanta at night is that it’s not as hot as it is during the day. You just have to try and stay up as late as you can the day before, then try to sleep all day. In my bedroom, I didn’t really have any curtains. So I would try to go to sleep in the middle of the day, and it would just be daytime. So I didn’t really sleep for the first two weeks.”

Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters in July of 2017.
