8 Reasons to Stay Optimistic About DC Universes ‘Titans’

Exploring the DC Universe

For years audiences watched as the same heroes got the spotlight in live-action. Whether it’s Batman, Superman, or the Flash, the same DC characters were the only ones getting movies. Now, that isn’t a problem thanks to Titans.

The series will debut a few characters for the first time in live-action. Raven’s parentage will hopefully bring in Trigon and the supernatural elements of the universe that have only been glimpsed in NBC’s Constantine before its cancellation.

Titans will also explore the Cadmus storyline as the series progresses, which was confirmed by Geoff Johns at San-Diego Comic-Con:

“I pitched Dan DiDio the Superboy/Lex Luthor thing, which we’ll get to on Titans eventually.”

It’s also backed up by this casting breakdown:

“A 20-something Caucasian male with dark hair who is powerful and merciless, so much so that he has recently unleashed chaos on the people who have been keeping him a prisoner in a mysterious lab. When we find “David”, he will have recently have escaped this lab.”

If that isn’t Superboy, then I don’t know who it could be.
