17 Amazing Cameos You Didn’t See Coming in ‘Deadpool 2’
1. X-MEN ORIGINS: DEADPOOL
Deadpool 2 was an epic trip into the meta-mind of an insane superhero in all of the best ways. It wasn’t until the credits rolled that fans got one of the greatest gifts ever. Wade Wilson takes Cable’s recently repaired time machine (thank you Negasonic and Yukio) and fixes some of the mistakes from Ryan Reynolds cinematic past and in Deadpool’s past.
The first thing he does is save Vanessa (Morena Baccarin) from dying at the beginning of the film, he saves Peter from dying in the tragic X-Force scene, Kill Ryan Reynolds before accepting the starring role in Green Lantern, and then travels back to X-MEN ORIGINS: Wolverine and kills the genetically modified Deadpool from the end of that film, and then apologizes to Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.
It is an unexpected moment and one that easily claims the best end-credits scene award.
Does Deadpool have to fix some of the continuity errors his film created? No, not yet. But it was nice seeing him right past wrongs. It was an extremely satisfying moment when the new Deadpool killed off the old one.
