Six Interactive Messenger Games to Play On Your Phone

Seven

Seven is two games from The Healing developer Reality Games. They’re connected to each other but have individual stories. However, to understand Seven – Endgame it’s better to play Seven – Deadly Revelation first. Otherwise, you’ll miss important story beats and have the previous game spoiled. In Seven – Deadly Revelation your partner is away on a business trip. While they’re away, someone from the main character’s old school dies.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t a peaceful death. It was murder.

The aim of this interactive messenger game is to figure out who did it. As the game progresses, the Seven Deadly Sins come into play. By navigating through various conversations and hacking games, you’ll face the killer getting rid of people from your past. You can change your relationships with characters through what you say. Furthermore, there are moments where the wrong word can change the ending or how a character perceives you.

Meanwhile, a user with the name Forever contacts you with strange messages. Whether they’re obsessed with you or your partner is unclear at that point.

Seven – Endgame takes place after Seven – Deadly Revelation. After defeating the villain, your life returns to normal. Or at least it does for a little while before people around you die. This leads into another cat-and-mouse chase as you try to uncover who’s behind these killings. Moreover, this game is deadlier and more dangerous than the previous one. Nobody is safe. Although, one thing is certain – it’s time to figure out who’s behind Forever.

New characters are introduced while some old ones return. Like in the game before, you’ll hack through files and work with other characters to track down the murderer. Out of these two games, Seven – Endgame is my favorite. This is their second game in terms of scope so Seven isn’t as good as the newer games.

However, the fact the games are only improving with each release says a lot about the studio. The story is still compelling and you won’t be disappointed in playing it. If you’re looking to play The Healing I’d recommend playing Seven first. If anything, it’s just so you’re aware of what’s happened. As the games are set in the same universe, there are easter eggs and discussions about previous events.

The only sad thing is you play a different character in The Healing and The Sign. Furthermore, this game (along with The Sign) has minigames.

I mentioned in my review of The Healing that the minigames can be difficult. You can buy your way past them with coins. These are awarded either in the game after completing a minigame or by purchasing them via in-app purchases. Don’t let them ruin your game though. They’re harmless in the end and the story is what you’re there for.

Next – The Sign: Ghost Dimension
