8. The Cornetto Trilogy
Score: 330.3
Edging out Indiana Jones by just 0.3 points is the Cornetto Trilogy. This is remarkably the first trilogy in the Top 10 to feature the classic ‘third is the worst’ trend that trilogies typically hold. The most interesting statistic here is that Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz hold identical total scores. Both registered 340 points. World’s End ‘only’ has 311.
The Cornetto Trilogy also stands out as the only one to not feature the same characters in each part. Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost have created three incredibly special sort-of-spoof films that will go down in cinema history as the best comedy trilogy of all time. It is also the best British trilogy of all time.
