‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’ and The Top 10 Greatest Trilogies of All-Time

It is surprising to see Christopher Nolan’s trilogy down in 5th. There is a 10 point gap between 5th and 6th, though. The Dark Knight Trilogy has a curious imbalance in its scores.

It sits 2nd overall for average Rotten Tomatoes Audience scores and joint 2nd for IMDB ratings. However, it is joint 3rd lowest amongst the Top 10 for Metacritic ratings. Despite the criticisms generally levelled at The Dark Knight Rises, it does have a better total score than Batman Begins.

Interestingly, if we took all the films on this list and ranked them individually, The Dark Knight does not make the Top 10. It would share joint 11th with Aliens. That Top 10 consists of nine of the films in the trilogies yet to be listed here with Back to the Future in 10th.
