#13 – The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe (2011)

Doctor Who’s spin on C.S Lewis’s the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

The episode sees Madge Arwell (Claire Skinner) finding The Doctor (Matt Smith) and helping him back to his TARDIS.

The following Christmas he repays the debt by becoming a Caretaker at their Holiday home.

The family end up in a magical land where the trees are alive.

While it isn’t an awful story, the episode is low due to its misuse of guest stars and non-threatening villains.

The ending with The Doctor reuniting with Amy and Rory will warm even the coldest of hearts though.
