Jenna Coleman’s Clara Oswald was a mystery to The Doctor ever since he met her in the Dalek Asylum. In The Snowmen, The Doctor is mourning the loss of his best friends still but along comes someone who asks that all important question – “Doctor? Doctor Who?”
The Snowmen sees Richard E. Grant as the villainous Dr. Simeon who is working for the Great Intelligence (last seen in a Second Doctor story The Abominable Snowmen)
It’s a good episode, albeit a bit slow in the middle. It acts as a set-up to the next half of Series Seven, which can hurt it if it’s not being watched as part of a marathon or if the general audience watch on Christmas.
