#11 – The End of Time (2009/2010)

David Tennant’s swansong. It sees The Master return, creating a ‘Master Race’ and the Time Lords who want to ascend as higher beings.

Its emotional moments, especially those provided by Bernard Cribbins, are excellent.

However the two-part overindulges in its past and spends more time in trying to be bombastic.

Granted this was the end of the Russell T. Davies’s time on the show but it felt too overindulgent. However, the acting is to be commended, especially from Tennant, Cribbins and John Simm.

#10 – The Voyage of the Damned
